関節リウマチ（Rheumatoid Arthritis: RA）は、多発性の滑膜炎を特徴とし、関節破壊による機能障害を引き起こします。リウマチ性疾患先進医療学講座は、RAを中心として、関節痛や関節炎をおこすリウマチ性疾患に関する診療・研究・教育を推進するために設立され、内科と整形外科のリウマチ専門医が共同して患者コホートや試料バンクを設立し、臨床および基礎研究を行っています。本講座はリウマチセンター外来を有しており、最先端の診療とともに、コメディカルや患者さんへの情報提供と教育にも努めています。
研究・教育について
関節リウマチ（RA）を中心とするリウマチ性疾患の制御を目指しています。京大病院リウマチセンターを中心に関連診療科を受診される患者さんから得られた臨床データおよび血液などの臨床検体を活かしながら、RAのコホートシステムおよび臨床サンプルセンターを中心に研究を進めています。
臨床研究としては、
- RAの早期診断と治療の効果予測をもたらす因子の研究
- リウマチ性疾患の発症に関わる環境因子の研究
- 疾患活動性・機能予後に対する手術の効果の研究
- RA患者における生物学的製剤/JAK阻害薬を含む抗リウマチ薬による自己免疫修飾の研究
- 抗リウマチ薬による関節破壊の抑制の研究
- RAにおける間質性肺炎の研究
- RAにおける自己抗体の研究
- RAの労働生産性について
- 幹細胞を用いたRA治療・再生医療の開発
- 体内での骨軟骨再生のメカニズム解明
などを行っています。
また、関節超音波検査を用いて、疾患活動性の評価や治療の効果判定を行っています。さらにリウマチ性疾患について理解を深めていただくため、リウマチ教室などを通じて学生・医療関係者や患者さんの教育を行っています。
リウマチ性疾患先進医療学講座では、内科と整形外科の医師が連携して、診療・研究を行っています。
