Katherine S. Pollard 博士（UCSF教授、グラッドストーン研究所Data Science & Biotechnologyディレクター）は、比較ゲノミクス研究分野における第一人者であり、チンパンジーゲノムプロジェクトの一環としてヒト加速領域（HARs）を同定したことで世界的知られています。また、Pollard博士は、ENCODEプロジェクトのアドバイザー、psychENCODEやズーノミアプロジェクトの一員としても貢献されています。本セミナーでは、”what makes us human”の遺伝的背景を理解するための最新解析技術についてお話し頂きます。

We will have ASHBi Distinguished Seminar with Prof.Jochen Wittbrodt from Heidelberg University.

Prof. Jochen Wittbrodt is the founder and director of the Centre for Organismal Studies (COS Heidelberg) at Heidelberg University, devoted to the exploration of organismic biology. He is a world leading scientist in developmental genetics and imaging technologies using zebrafish and medaka as model organisms. His lab at COS focuses on understanding the mechanisms that control the balance between proliferation and differentiation during development, growth and regeneration..
