IFOM (FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology) – Milan, Italy
IFOM is a leading European research institute in the field of molecular oncology and has been a close partner with Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine for research and educational activities. IFOM and Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine jointly held a symposium in October, 2015, providing a unique opportunity to learn about and discuss hot topics in cancer research through lectures by experts and poster presentations by young researchers.

M8 Alliance / World Health Summit
Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine has participated in the World Health Summit since 2009 as a member of the M8 Alliance. The “M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers and Medical Universities” was established as a medical and scientific forum of excellence. It is composed as a network of prestigious medical institutions to deal with scientific, political, and economic issues related to medicine and public health at the international level. This international network gives the World Health Summit an outstanding academic background. With these institutions, it is possible to establish a reference platform for medical development on a global scale. The Alliance acts as a permanent platform for framing the future considerations of global medical development and health challenges.
