In our department, we will conduct research spanning from fundamental to applied studies, focusing on factors related to aging in the central nervous system and immunity. Our goal is to elucidate aging mechanisms and develop drugs to suppress age-related and autoimmune diseases.
Leveraging the platform technology from VLP Therapeutics, a company founded by collaborative researchers in the United States, and research outcomes from Kyoto University, we are developing drugs targeting aging and immune-related disorders, including cognitive impairment and neuroimmune disorders. Additionally, we investigate the effectiveness of online music therapy for patients with cognitive function impairment due to Parkinson’s disease.
