On 10 April 2024, a courtesy delegation from the Kaohsiung University School of Medicine, including Dr Po-Liang Lu, Dean of the Kaohsiung University School of Medicine, met Prof. Tadashi Isa, Dean of the Graduate School of Medicine, to exchange views on the development of future relationships, and both signed the renewal agreement.
Afterwards, the courtesy delegation also met with Prof. Hitomi Kataoka, Deputy Director of the Center for Medical Education and Internationalization, and Prof. Motoko Yanagita, Chair of the International Affairs Committee of the Graduate School of Medicine, and exchanged information on the English-language student exchange program offered by the Kaohsiung University School of Medicine and the status of study abroad at the Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine.
They also visited the host laboratory of a student from the Kaohsiung Medical University who studied at Kyoto University for a few months in 2023, and had a discussion concerning the condition of the student during the study abroad and the possibility of future Collaboration.
It is hoped that student exchange between the two universities will further develop based on this renewed agreement.
