Admission to Graduate Programs

1. Preparation

Please confirm  Procedure Guide (PDF) to prepar for the application.
Applicants who have  graduated or are expected to graduate from a university/graduate school outside of Japan are recommended to request official letters/certificate to their schools before they start the appilcation procedure. For further information, please see “Frequently Asked Questions and Answers”

2. Preliminary Eligibility Check

Those who graduated or expected to graduate from a university(s) outside of Japan and who have completed  or are expected to complete programs a graduate school(s) outside of Japan must submit a copy (PDF) of their graduate certificates and fill outPreliminary Eligibility Check Sheetto Office of Student Affairs (kyoumu-in(*)mail2.adm.kyoto-u.ac.jp (Please change * to @). As the guidelines are updated every year, please submit the check sheet around the update time.

The eligibility check will take few days to one week to receive the result. So candidates are strongly recommended to check their eligibility before starting the procedure.
